Canadas Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot is expanding with a new federal pathway to help employers fill a wide range of in demand jobs while welcoming skilled refugees and other displaced individuals

In terms of refugee resettlement and labor mobility, Canada continues to be a global leader. The government is assisting communities and businesses in addressing labor shortages by welcoming skilled refugees and other displaced individuals to Canada. The immigration system can be made more responsive to Canada’s economic needs and humanitarian commitments by continuing to improve it.

The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, made the announcement that Canada will launch a new economic pathway under the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) to assist employers in hiring skilled refugees and other displaced individuals during a keynote speech to business and sector leaders, NGOs, and civil society organizations in Toronto.

The EMPP connects Canadian employers looking to fill key positions with skilled refugees and other qualified displaced individuals. Canada is able to welcome vulnerable individuals as a result of this, and at the same time, it is able to gain access to a talent pool that has not been utilized before. As a result, Canadian employers will have access to a talent pool from which they will be able to attract and keep

A new federal pathway is being developed by the Canadian government to expand the EMPP. This summer, the new pathway, which will be a complement to the existing EMPP pathways, will open.

The new government pathway will offer bosses more chances to fill an extensive variety of in-request occupations, including medical attendant helpers, individual help laborers, long haul care assistants, programmers, website specialists, mechanical and electrical designers and professionals, educators, the travel industry and friendliness laborers, and truck and conveyance administration drivers. Employers can use the EMPP to meet their labor market needs in a new way, and EMPP candidates can restart their careers and lives in Canada in safety with their families.

Additionally, the EMPP will now include a more adaptable eligibility policy, allowing additional displaced individuals in need of international protection to apply.

These individuals contribute to local economies, enrich our communities, and help fill employment gaps as they rebuild their lives and careers. In the coming weeks, the EMPP webpage will contain additional information regarding the new federal pathway, including eligibility criteria.
