This year’s campaign – “One City, One Team, One Campaign” – was strengthened through collaboration with City agencies and corporations to benefit the community, collectively raising $2.2 million.

The City is one of United Way’s strongest and longest-standing partners. During the campaign, thousands of employees came together to raise funds for the community, helping to meet its needs as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to significantly impact the most vulnerable.

The United Way Employee Campaign, which is jointly led by the City’s unions, associations and management, receives strong support from CUPE Local 79, TCEU Local 416 (CUPE), the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association (TPFFA), Toronto Public Library Workers Union CUPE Local 4948, CUPE Local 2998 and COTAPSA, as well as City agencies and corporations including the Toronto Public Library, Toronto Zoo, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, Toronto Parking Authority and Exhibition Place. For the first time this year, the City also collaborated with the Toronto Police Service, Toronto Hydro Corporation, Toronto Transit Commission, CreateTO and Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
