Dale Hall arrived back home to Paris, Ontario today after a marathon bike ride across much of the province. Hall’s cycled 580 kilometres to raise money for the Salvation Army Food Bank in Brantford and Brant County to help people cope with the soaring price of food.

Hall started his journey Friday morning at the Eternal Flame on the Parliament Hill grounds in Ottawa. He then biked almost 600 kilometres over three days, more than 220 kilometres in one day alone.

Hall is hoping this solo ride was just the beginning of what becomes an annual event with more riders, raising more funds so the food bank will eventually have enough to buy a new delivery van.
