“The transit service improvements in Stanley Greene are a direct result of extensive consultation with neighborhood residents,” said TTC Chair Jon Burnside. “Identifying service improvement opportunities through community consultation is a fantastic example of how we can work together to deliver service to our customers where they need it. On behalf of the TTC Board, I commend the TTC team for bringing this route to fruition.”
Customers can use the new 128 Stanley Greene to travel to and from Wilson Station or the existing 101 Downsview Park to connect with Downsview Park Station and access the subway and GO Transit (Barrie Line). The 128 Stanley Greene will operate every 30 minutes during weekday rush hours. The 101 Downsview Park will operate every 30 minutes on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and on weekends between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
“The residents of Stanley Greene have been strong advocates for more public transit services in their neighbourhood and I am very pleased that, together with the TTC, we have achieved this outcome,” said Councillor James Pasternak, York Centre. “The new bus service loop will greatly benefit Stanley Greene and the surrounding neighbourhoods.”
The new 128 Stanley Greene bus service will operate along Stanley Greene Blvd., Frederick Tisdale Dr. and Locust Lodge Gdns. and then from Keele St. at Downsview Park Blvd. to Wilson Ave. and continue to Wilson Station for easy connection to Line 1 Yonge-University and other TTC bus routes.
