When I entered Park Metro Station in the morning, two workers of the Communist Party of Canada handed me the leaflet. In the last few years, the price of commodities, house rent, fuel oil, and other essential items have increased at a high rate. But the income and living standards of the common people have not increased.
Their figures show that food prices have increased by +10.30% in 2023 from 2022, rents by +12.4% and gas prices by +$2/1%, making living difficult.
None of the political parties, including the ruling Liberal Party, the main opposition Conservatives and the NDP, are talking about it. Then the party of small power The Communist Party of Canada is speaking out for the common man, protesting.
